die.
About two days ago, I decided to amp up the "nothing to worry about, really. It doesn't matter in the end"-o-meter up a notch, to see if it would free me of this 'bummed-ness' that was lurking around me for a few days before.
I have no idea what caused this bummedness. It felt like a mental ice pack was being pressed on the width of my back. Cold. Exhale-causing. Sucked.
So, anyway.
Yeah, amped up the 'relak la'. And it feeels goooood. I feel better about things. Happier!
BUT
as I was walking to Orchard mrt today, slowly, with the mp3 on, reading a book, I remembered the one instance where Wei Qing helped me 'see'.
Around Sec two, cf and I were in the habit of bullying WQ. This happened almost every day. I think he was sitting in front of us, or sth. We would poke him, have a laugh at his expense, etc etc. It was all in good fun.
Or so I thought. (DUN DUN DUUUN)
One day, WQ said he wanted to talk to me. We got away from CF and he complained about all the shit we were giving him, very irritating, Can You Please Stop, bla bla bla. I humored him by listening, then told him "do you really think that telling me all this will do anything?"
and he said "Yes. I do." and continued on.
WQ, who I had of course been used to seeing as the pushover type, gave my brain a slight jump at this. He really did believe that his speaking up would help him, manz
And it did. I got looser on him completely, and eventually CF stopped teasing so much, and then it became uncommon.
And this flashback served as a lesson to me that "It'll always work out in the end" doesn't quite cut it sometimes. That I shouldn't always be looking at the 'in the end', because not everyone is gonna be around in the 'in the end' to look on and say "Wow, yeah. I guess it wasn't worth the worrying after all."
Lesson: Relaaaaak, but relak in moderation.
PS: You see those screenshots below? The internet links? Yeah. They're not bookmarks. They're my inturnet tabz, yo. Don't be misunderstandin.

Journey to the West
Immune system, rest.
Rules:
-Jog or run for one hour.
-Head West.
-Do not stop or walk.
-Stay on the coast.
-Yeah, walk back if you want. Whatever.
ANYWAYS.
Yeah, I can barely walk at the moment. Feet ache. Legs kind of ache. Recovering from tiredness.
I left a little after 1.30pm, considered my 'Start' at 1.35pm.
After an hour, I found myself inbetween 711 Clementi West Street and Tien Wah Press (pte) Limited.
This is le route. Woot woot.
And my walking speed is slightly more than half my joggin speed. Took me almost 2hrs to walk back.
Consumption upon return:
-A bit of grapefruit juice (Ceres)
-A bit of cranberry&kiwi juice (Ceres)
-Some grapes
-Water
-A medium/small ish banana
-Eating Nasi Lemak now
-Drinking Heaven & Earth Chrysanthemum Green Tea now
Weehee! Morning well spent.
.. exercise-wise.
Feet, rest.
Shins, rest.
Breathe.

All right! Early morning run!
From sevenish to eight-fortyish.
[I realize I've never been victim to falling bird excrement. COULD TODAY BE MY LUCKY DAY?]
[TUNE IN NEXT WEEK TO F-]
And it'd've (buh? It'd've?) been better if the horizon wasn't blocked by vegetation and buildings. Gah. Then can see sunset.
At least there were nifty-looking pink and reddish clouds, right?
Naw, it was a pretty clear morning sky.
Oh.
But at the bend of the hill, there was this great flowery smell that I would huff in every time I passed. It smelt great.
Wootz!
Yep.
..
..
Still early morning lah. Wan me type what thing

If you understand, things are just as they are; if you do not understand, things are just as they are.
Was looking up Zen proverbs on Wiki, and there's one that would go well with the post I made earlier:
When you reach the top, keep climbing.
Squee!
Edit at 1920hrs: Make that two. "If you do not get it from yourself, Where will you go for it?"

I think I found my answer!
How's this:
All the praise or negative criticism that you get from people doesn't mean anything, it's the way you feel about yourself that matters. People can shower praises upon you every day, and you can still feel like you're not good enough. Conversely, people may criticise everything you do, but if you feel like a winner inside, then what do the words of the other people matter?
And I think feeling like you're on the top can be a little counter-productive, anyway. When you think you're at the top of the hill, you enjoy the scenery there. You don't look higher, aspire to fly. But at the bottom or middle of the hill, there's still a hill to climb. There are two directions you can go if you want to move anyplace, and chances are you're going to want to keep going up.
Hm.
But this analogy doesn't seem to include the people that are encouraged by praise to climb higher. I'll be.
Maybe it's a certain kind of praise that is counter-productive.
"You're perfect just the way you are!/You're the best, man!/You're amazing!/ I wish I were like you/ Nobody can outdo you!/You're at the top of your game!"
vs
"You almost got him, man!/Just one more lap, you can do it!/You could do greater things, span wider horizons!/You've got the potential!/You've done all this, who knows what'll come next for you!"
Yeah, you probably see the difference. Once puts the praise-ee at the top of the hill, while the other puts the praise-ee in the middle of the hill, with a journey to continue.
Ah, you might say. But what if the hill has no peak? What if it is a hill that rises forever, past the cosmos and the heavens? What if the praise is just to tell the climber that they have travelled well up their path, and that they should feel good about it?
But what's the use in that? (and hey, what if the top of the hill happens when they think it's happened? A hallucination caused by giving in to all that praise)
Not sure... encouragement? Yeah, encouragement. To encourage them to go further, not to convince them that where they are is good enough.
In the hopes that what?
... dunno.
<_<
>_>
(I'm thinking of doing a banner. I thiiink I know how.)

Forgot to mention: Went and recoloured a bit of the blog. Woot!
I'd redesign the whole thing (borders, rectangles and all) if I knew how, but I like it the way it is at the moment.
Go recolouring!

If not: You'll find a way somewhere. Just know that where you go, do your best. Push your limits. You're in a new place now, you're a blank slate. Make your new history there.

yo yo wassup
Tired. Will update in a few minutes.
Edit (11.21pm): Make that some other time.
gahrgenflarben
What I will say at the moment, though, is that it was a pretty lazetastic day. CF and I attribute this to the boringness of one or two jcs (won't name names) and the hot sun. And the walking around with accumulating amounts of goodiebags.
All for now.
Edit II (11.44am, 11th Jan):
OPEN HOUSE TWO: Innova Junior College.
-Made it there from Woodlands MRT and a bus away. (Accolades to Gothere! Everyone!) School gate right at the busstop.
-Entered, got goodie bags, said Hello to entrance people.
-Almost immediately after the entrance, the gym appears to our side, facing the open field and very open to the wind. If there was one at the time.
-Canteen. Next to field too, cool tables.
-Walk along the belt where people tending cca stalls. We were there 30 minutes into the event, so there weren't many visitors yet. Hence, stallpersons not that active. Luckily they were music (Band, CO) and drama ccas, and I wouldn't have joined anyway. Being part of the first few, photography club members took the opportunity to take many pictures. Of us walking up the stairs.
-End of belt. Cheerleading going on beside the foyer (other entrance). We go to library.
-Not much at library.
-Oh yeah.
-Got Japanese Cultural Society. Woot.
-Top floor of library, we are shown the media ccas. Not bad la.
-Leaving the library, ODAC members are there to pull us to their booth. We were probably their first.
-Booth is in hall, lots of sports ccas there. ODAC members tell us how exciting, fun, enjoyable their cca is. We tell them not to worry, and to use us as 'practice' because we're just the first. We tell them they have to describe the cca without using 'exciting' or 'fun'.
-Failz
-Walk around hall, observe, observe.
-Go to gym. Great machines, nice and 'smooth' feeling. Instead of using cords for the pulley system in the machines, they use flat belts. Maybe that's why. Dunno.
-Halfway through gymming, girl says hi. Tells us to go to the canoeing booth. Skeptical, we ask her if all they're going to tell us is the same as ODAC. "No, it's not all fun." "It's hard, it's tough, but it's worth it" she says.
-Oooo. Good pitch.
-We say okay, she gives us the little canoeing paper. Leaves.
-...
-I really wish we didn't forget to go. Gah!
-Pull ups.
-Walking on edge of a turned-off treadmill. Fall off a few times.
-Go to Innov8 to rest for a while. It's sort've their cafe. Or relaxy place.
-We find out there's a shuttle bus to the other schools. omgwtflol.
-We catch the bus to our next intended destination, YJC.
OPEN HOUSE THREE: Yishun Junior College.
-On the bus there, cf says Xue Er may guide us around if we can find her. She's an ex-Outramian, cf knows her more than me.
-We get there, building not as awesome as ijc, but not bad. IJ is new anyway.
-Guided by guy from basketball. He's not bad. We get our bags and he says he does know XE
-Brings us to basketball booth. She's there, not too willing to bring us around but she points us to our next destination. Eventually these two students join us to show us around.
-Science blocks!
-Embarrassing moment where we sit in for a Bio class (the students liked bio.) and were distracting one or two students in the back. Tried to sign them to look at their teacher, but in vain.
-Went out, Physics next!
-There was a room where the students set up practical demonstrations to show.
-Interesting. I got to see something that I'd only read about, and wanted to see in reality.
-I believe math was next.
-We came in later than the little session started, and this man was describing how to use the new graphic calculator.
-After this there were magic tricks involving math principles. These were to interest us and show us that math is NOT BORING.
-Bleh.
-After the whole thing we asked a teacher qns. She showed us stuff. Cool.
-Sat and watched a bit of fencing practice, I believe?
-Wanted to leave. Didn't know what to do liao. Went to buses, next one to our next school leaving in 30mins.
-Hm.
-Aha.
-We saw the archery thing finally happening in the field a little far away.
-We went quickly.
-Stalling.
-Stalling.
-Finally got to shoot. Just 2 arrows though. We had to leave in like 2mins.
-Missed both. At least I got to use the bow.
-Dash back to the bus.
-Last two people before bus left. Woo.
OPEN HOUSE FOUR: Anderson Junior College.
Wait lah, I'll update in an hour.
-Zan

Strike One!
Gothere how could you!
at least I got there, but you weren't being specific enough.
Luckily, the nice (makeup-masked) lady in the LRT provision shop nearby knew the way to Pioneer JC.
"You can go to Teck Whye."
"which busstop do I take to go there? Bus number?"
"Oh, there's a bus interchange just behind here, just take 975."
Big thankers!
..
I guess Gothere gets some credit for putting me in the right area.
Thanks, man.
So anyway.
Open House one: Pioneer JC.
Not bad. I came just in time for performances (mass dance, cheerleading), but tagged along one of the tours.
Benedict/Sebastian's cousin was on that tour. Leading it! Small world.
Country, rather.
And I got to ask students about:
Physics, Project Work
And teachers about:
Physics, Literature, General Paper, Economics
End open house report.
I made my way back with my very first LRT ride from Pheonix to Chua Chu Kang. Finally in the mrt system.
Then went home.
Woot. z.
Home, took vic's stuff, went to SRJC, collected her edusave cheque, back home.
I took the wrong train the way back, so ended up going from Kovan to Punggol.
Which has nice looking benches. That have armrests! Too bad they're a bit slanty, though. Have to sit upright in order to not slowly slip down.
Sengkang looked like it had the best seats. Armrests in every section, and it bends in so you'd stay in rather than out.
I'll try em one day.
Big trip through the NEL from Punggol to Harbourfront, but the trip fortunately gave me enough time to complete 52: The Companion.
Here comes the 8th.
Ahoy.

Of Tennisballs, Worms and Foreheads
Got my haircut! For the new year, of course.
On the way there, this popped into my head:
The animal that never falls: Earthworm.
Mm.
Oh, and the flash of sunlight from someone's shades made me want to draw a person with smoke seeping from their eyes really badly.
Mm.
Then I made it to the barber, after trying my best not to sweat in my shirt.
Waited for other patrons.
Done.
I sat down.
"Number one?" He said, smiling.
"Okay!" I said, smiling.

"You sure? Number one?" He said, smiling.
"mm..." sensing his doubt, I hmmed.
"Okay, number two first, then I see if I want 1."
..
"Number two ah... okay, I do 3 first, then you tell me..."
And so it commenced.
Seconds later, I opened my eyes and saw the front part of my head 'number 3'ed.
"Shorter." I said. Smiling.
And so it began, for real.
Tadaa. Finish.
On the way back, this popped into my head:
Is a really big forehead called a fivehead? And does the name change with each varying degree of frontal-upper-head length? eg. sixhead, sevenhead, eighthead...
I returned home. Of course mom goes "So shooort!". Smiling.

Heh.
I just realised how difficult it is to look at a mirror, mouth words and think of the words out loud in your head (oxymoronic phrase!) with a slight delay.

Some prefer to argue as if to win a chess game by throwing the board at the opponent halfway through the round and then shout that they have won so loudly that they hear only the sound of their own voice.
bonusqn: if people shouldn't critique people whose jobs/tasks they cannot perform better (if at all), how can anyone who has never been a president vote for a president?

Thpam
Rrr. Getting spam comments on friendster. Probably the people who get the message "Hey you look awesome at the party photos. Come see the pix at this link: blablabla"
Maybe if they click them, something causes them to spam their friends' profiles?
or maybe even viewing the message does that. Yikes. Am I spamming?
OR
Maybe it doesn't even stem from the messages. Maybe it's the comments.
The comments I'm spammed with contain a link to a youtube video.
Maybe clicking that link will cause the spam to be sent to other people.
Who knows.

Back
Back to evenly-aligned and clean sidewalks!
Back to no more converting Baht into Singapore dollars every time I see a number!
Back to fans instead of air-conditioning!
Back to (almost) no more limbless people begging on the street!
Back to music on my computer!
Back to youtube!
Minesweeper!
Cereal!
Back to 'Hello' and 'Thank you' instead of 'sawasdee kap' and 'kap kun kap'!
Back to not washing my crocs every two days!
Back to not washing my clothes in the shower!
Back to non-bargained purchases!
Back to non-bargained purchases. Urgh.
Back to thick toilet paper! Awesome!
Back to no more 'Hey, lets all go get another foot massage' every 3 hours!
Back to the jungle!
I can see groups of trees again!
Back to Marang Road!
I'm back to Singapore!

Perfect day?
I would wake up from a fantastic sleep from which a very interesting lucid dream was produced. I would remember every part of this dream long enough to go write it down. For some reason, on this day time has slowed down and it is still 7.30am. Yet I feel well-rested. I go running up mount faber and through the bridges and around the horticultural park and along that road beside the bus interchange that I only went once which had a great foresty smell I never smelled/smelt before and then back home. During the run, the sun would be beaming and really bright and it'd be a really hot day. And I would be wearing a thin sleeveless shirt so that I wouldnt have a bloody shirttan. I'd go home and use bags to do weight training exercises while still sweating from the run. I keep sweating until I decide to shower
When I am so very, very tired liao I go for a cold shower
after which I wear this nice loose shirt and track pants that arent so long they occassionally

I go to the living room, and it happens to suddenly rain
the weather is cool and there are winds about. There are no clothes hanging outside all of a sudden so I dont need to bring them in. Nobody else is at home, so I know that there is still fruit in the fridge
I get out juicy, red pomelo that has been pre-peeled
I get out prepeeled oranges
I get out a carton of grapefruit juice, no cup because I know I'll finish it all.
I sit under the livingroom fan and eat all this
I get out seedy cereal and pour it into a bowl with milk
I eat it
I look at the clock, it's only 8.30

I get out all chapters of some comic I borrowed from the library and finish the whole thing until 10pm
I have my blue sketchbook beside me, and a mechanical pencil that does not smudge on paper or rub onto the skin upon contact. I draw animals, heads and characters. I draw hands that are really ugly and bony. It is now 11pm
Delighted that is still before 12nn, I go to Sentosa and find that the beach has been cleared of the muck and litter that is everpresent in the waters. Nobody is on the beach, so I change on the beach without having to use the crappy bathrooms. I lounge around in the water and feel the waves until I decide to swim to the tiny island that is about 200m away
on the little island, I make lots of sandcastles and figures. I find many interesting rocks and shells, which I keep
I swim back to shore, losing some of the shells on the way
I relax a little more, and walk back. It is really sunny now, and my skin is dried as I walk along the beach.
Nobody is at the open public shower, so I can use it without wearing swimming attire
I cycle back home, but not before cycling

the night sky stares back at me, I stare back and ponder for hours. At least it seemed like hours; only 10 minutes have passed. I go home and have a banana. I go toilet. For some reason I knew that what came out was my breakfast. Only the fish and chips and bananas are in my system! I feel light and start pouncing around. I realise I am thirsty, and get a huge bottle of water. I go cycling, with bottle attached to bike. I dont know where I'm going, but the wind gusts through me wherever I ride
and the night is cool
no cars are on the roads, save the occassional bus or two.
It is now 10.40
I chance upon a huge garden-like forest that lies under great trees which create the illusion of a canopy-like ceiling. All shades of the colours green and brown are held within it, and every once in a while Pink, Blue, Red, Yellow and orange show themselves in many different shades
everything is lit perfectly by strategically placed lamps, and I remember that I have brought along a camera with me.

the thought of going back another day makes me feel happy
I go home, it is now 11.30
I have finished my bottle of water
I shut down the computer
I drink lots of cold, sweet fruit juice as I find a book to read
it is 11.50
A cup lies beside my bed, containing juice
I lie sideways on the bed, reading the book
without knowing it, the last sip I take from the cup before I sleep leaves no juice in the cup

I stop reading and turn so that I now lie on my back

all mosquitoes in my vicinity die
I close my eyes and lie flat

Over!

Woot.z.
My CLB composition felt real good, I wrote about two girls that encountered this person whose grandfather fell in a longkang. Girl calls her father, who is a doctor, etc.
CLB paper 2 wasnt that nice. Quite a lot of tikams. At least I had a moderate amount of answers that were same as Van's.
Van brought me to the mrt via cab, and thus she was the last student I saw in school.
Last outram uniform other than mine that I saw today belonged to David Gammon (he was in Harbourfront mrt.)
It's finally over!
And now I gotsta get started on stuff. I feel free, fresh. And the rain helped this feeling too.
Got myself organic oaten biscuits again. And organic milk, too. For the organic cereal. ^^
The milk tastes creamy.
Yah, not an organised post.
Time to exercise and study physics!

Haireye
Eurgh, woke up to an eyelash stuck on the surface of my left eye.
AGAIN.
(This is like the 4th time)
But today's was special. Oh yes. Today I had the luck of actually prying it out of the bottom lid with a fingernail.
(Usually it slips through the edge of my eye)
LOVELY.
grumblegrumblegrumble

Okay, now to continue the day.

Vulgarity
****
I need somebody to explain to me why they consider certain words offensive, even when used without context. Why the very sound of the word provokes disapproval, though there is no difference between hearing it in your ears and hearing it in your head. Censor if you want, but the word is still in there. And I think it is the message that should provoke offense, not the individual words used to compose that message.

Chain chain chain.
I'd like to type about the chain letters that depict the dramatic and very, very sad deaths/sufferings of children and people.
In particular, the ones that end with "The X corporation has agreed to donate $1 to help Lucy get her leg back for every email address this is forwarded to. Please keep the message going!
"
Where is the morality in donating money on a condition? "I will only donate if I see a list of emails".
It just sounds a little unbelievable to me. And how does the starter of the email expect to get the huge list of emails back? Is she/he / he/she waiting for the email to weave its way through all of the worlds population to get back to that person?
I mean, by the time that happens, the cause is probably lost. Little Charlie who needed the operation money from that email would have been gone by then.
And that is why I don't believe that particular class of chain email.

AAAAAAAAhhhhh. Shaet
I just saw this whilst blogsurfing (going to link pages on blogs and going to the link pages of the blogs on those link pages, etc):
its so unpredictable! i mean like, everthing's based on results here. students hardly have a life here -.- books, books, books, tests, exams. screw it lah!
Some may recognise this. If so, then.. you good lor. (idunno)
Anyways. That last line left a bit of an impact on meh. especially since I'm just realising that school is coming back reeeally soon, and it's time to make that last-minute rush for homework. The last minute rush, of course, brought me the 'being a student' feeling back. This, combined with 'screw it lah!' got me dreaming..
.. is it really necessary to do all this studying to get a good job to sustain meself and then work and work and work till retirement?
Should I join the ranks of the majority, and leave times of freedom to 1: Childhood and 2: post-retirement?
Why are these periods 'free'? Because both of them are times where, I suppose, money is not an issue. All is provided for.
1: Childhood
-Parents supply money for our life's needs (if they can). Food is paid for. Clothes are paid for. Toys.
2: Retirement
-Same thing, only instead of Parents we have the retirement fund. The only difference is that the amount of money is not an undetermined number (if you ignore loans and borrowing money); it's not a number that the parents constantly add to; it has a limit. And what you allow yourself to do all comes from the amount you make when working. In a way, you now parent yourself.
So where am I RIGHT NOW?
Parents still are supplying, so freephase 1 isn't completely over yet but school is preparing me for that working 'period' of my life. I am preparing me. Meaning that... what I'm doing now is all working up to the day when freephase 2 starts, and how well I work now will determine how much I get to do in phase 2.
Life: Work done = Opportunity + Freedom
BUT
This is a little closed-minded.
In that working mid-phase between 1 & 2, there is bound to be a little fun had, a little time not spent on work.
Here, a great tip lies: Do work that you love doing.
This way, you are not just working for money, but working to work. You love it, and rest is merely rest away from enjoyment. Life in the mid-phase is no longer work + rest/leisure. Now it is enjoyment + rest/leisure. A great cheat to own. And I want it. So..
I must first find what job I'd love.
Because I have no chance at knowing what being in the jobs out there are like (HINT HINT, MOE) I must go by assumption and guessing. Maybe this happens in the job, maybe that happens, etc.
But I don't feel like rambling about that at the mo.
So... complaints!
Sigh. Sigh sigh sigh.
Sai.
How did Life come to this? From days of no technology and no civilisation, all we did was get food, eat, bring up kids. Intelligence was expended on hunting methods.
And then came economy and civilisation. Technology.
With this came jobs and money.
(MONEY.)
And with jobs and money came a different means of living.
No longer were things made just to be made. Systems kept for the good of the people. We all sold out.
I mean look at the 'ole aboriginal peoples of the world! The indigenous peoples! The way they live really exhibits that they're all 'one big family'. They work together for the community as a whole. Not just for themselves and their spouses. They went to get food for everyone in the hunting groups! Just because! And this kept them healthy too. Kept them moving. Fun was had!
Sigh sigh sigh.
But I am born here, where this is no such way of life.
Respectable work requires more of the brain (and technology) and less of the body around these parts.
But there's no way any country like this would want to go back to such times. Reputation and all. Need to be seen as a high tech country.
Sheeeeeyit.
Aiyah, nothing more oredy.

grumble
Kay, I take responsibility for not passing in the O level fee money yesterday. Yesterday, which apparently was the DEADLINE.
So big rush today la.
But I still will complain about the inadequacy of my form teacher.
My Form Teacher (MFT) did not enforce the fact that IF WE DID NOT HAND THIS MONEY IN, WE WOULD NOT TAKE OUR O LEVELS THIS YEAR.
She even gave the students that hadn't given the money up a paper, telling them to do so that Wednesday. Clearly either she was not informed of the deadline's importance, or was and did not recognise it to be as deadly as it truly was.
And a couple of backup systems could have been organised by the school as well:
1: Paying for the students if the students are too late and writing the amount off as a loan that the student then owes the school. This would display precautionary planning.
2: Have the FT demand the hell out of the students. If the student did not pay it on the last day, the FT should be forcing him/her to get out of the school and get that money. Yes, students do need to be pushed sometimes. We may not be primary students, but we are certainly not yet adults. And even adults forget.
3: Public announcement system! Have someone announce the last day in a booming voice to the ears of the school. as if a paper stuck on the class board is enough. The BACK of the class, no less. T_T
And there you go.

Weehee
So POA is ending, and I'm in the greatest rush to finish my dang work. But already our SS teacher is making his way in, so (still in my rushed mindset) I stuff the PA papers under the table and get on with the newly-assigned SS work.
I'm still feeling all rushed, so while doing SS I feel all "MUST. FINISH THIS. NOW."
but.
Inbetween my writings, X keeps popping his voice in my ears to tell me about some extremely fascinating joke or comment. I have to give some response, and keep cool about it. But he keeps going on.
And now, while I'm at 60% irritability, D and C start talking and joking between themselves. This is normal, and I realised later on that completing the work was not as important as I was thinking it was.
I decide that the environment is not suitable for my flustered self, and I request a toilet break. Instead I go do my work at the benches for a few minutes.
I come back to stay, and get my SS book from the cupboard.
As I place my book on my desk and take my hands off of it for JUST A SECOND to adjust my chair, Assholiholio The Smug (OF COURSE) proceeds to bloody take it. By his own damn permission.
80% irritable, and rising.
Then D asks me harmless qns, and the occassional telling-me-something-I-must-know, to which I reply by sending him an acronym to be deciphered by him. I figure this will give me time to do my work.
(The acronym, which represented the words in my head at the time, was AMIIC. It means Ask Me If I Care, and I will admit that my anger was misplaced on D. It should have been somewhere else. Sorry D.)
Eventually C finds I'm flustered, but I refuse to show what it is that made me so. Again I deny him the right to confirm his assumptions of myself.
I hate these people, ARHVDBFJHSDV
ANYWAYS.
What you see above is something that occurred last week in class. It shows me at one of my lousier times.
To the updates:
I'm finding myself unable to answer why I want to live, and the only thing that keeps me going, perhaps, is experience. But even that I am doubting.
I also find that I constantly am fantasizing for everything I know of to be smashed and destroyed by a meteorite. School, home, people-I-Know, the system. The world I live in needs a reform.

Duos Dies
More writing practice with lefty, and I found out things about the way I hold things with my right hand that I never knew before. Like the way I hold a spoon so similarly to the way I hold a pen, and so on. These observations were a result of mimicking the actions and positions of my right hand with my left.
I've been Wikipeding too much today.
Interesting pages visited:
The Divine Comedy
What Dreams May Come, a film I finally found the title of.
Poetic Justice
Eye Colour
Skin Colour Map
A video just.. painful to watch
Also, I finally got rid of the damn malware and spyware lurking in my computer. Woo, everything's so fast now.
Went to Vic's school for their library's $1 sale. Great deeealzzzoorrrs
For some reason, I'm getting this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that something isn't right. I think it involves Chinese people in Singapore, the attitudes of people, what is accepted as humour currently, the reason for why things are screwed up, but I can't quite get to it yet. My brain is passing me hints, but nothing more. Yarr.
(Heh, las if my brain and 'Me' are separate entities. Snortz. Or are they?)
Und zat vill be all.

Crossing Over to The Sinister
I've decided to start using my left hand a lot more for things. Anything. As part of an aim for ambidexterity.
I decided this yesterday actually, but who givizzles a shizzle.
And I shall document my progress here.
I first started with switching the buttons of my mouse to suit my left hand (i.e: The right-click function is now on the left button, and the Click function is on the right button.)
and using the mouse with my left hand.
Of course, through the course of the day writing practice with the left hand was made.
Drawing, too.
And yesterday night I had the displeasure of trying to brush my teeth with my left hand. Arrgh. Twas a tediously patternless and slow task.
I will continue posting the progress here (that is, if I remember to do so.)
Hopefully will help me get back to updating this thing with the usual posts.

On False Hope and Optimism
"Optimists generally believe that people and events are inherently good, so that most situations work out in the end for the best."
A dog is hungry and wants food. Now.
A man waves a dog biscuit in front of the dog.
The dog believes that he can now have food.
Instead of what was hoped, the man eats the biscuit.
The dog is still hungry.
Should it care about the man?
The man made no difference to the dog's situation, other than waste his own time creating a show for the dog.
Thus, should the dog give a hoot?

So Devar's got himself a tattle problem, and is screwed.

Eye Daggers, Killmode: go.
Lovely questions that are near bloody impossible to answer:
-What is your problem?/What is wrong with you?
-Seriously, why are you such an asshole/ass/idiot/retard?
-Did you really have to do that?
-Are you that stupid?
-When will you grow up?
Usually these are asked with the hand raised forward, palm facing Northeast of the speaker who has his/her head tilted to one side, with a hinged-open mouth and a furrowed brow.
The word 'Seriously' or 'Seriously ah,' can be added to the start of the sentence to make the speaker sound like more of a shithead.
GOD THEY'RE" SO ANNOYING

Feelings call for better sentences. Herewego:
Looking at the statement constructed to sound profound with meaning and depth ("doesn't it sound so cool and poetic?"), Disgust once again is resurrected from my abandoned sea of great emotion.
Worst was derived from reading the third line. Making such a decision over uncertainty and incautious trustworthiness of self. 'I feel it is, thus it must be', right? Christ.
Skin deep indeed.
I bid my trust in the generation, adieu.

See Sea Ace
Negotiating skills.
Something I will strive to further improve on.
Why?
Because CCAs are part of the job interview now. They will be there, burned into my report. And when the time comes where the interviewer asks why I, unlike so many other applicants, have pretty much 0% of qualities shown in most CCAs printed on that damn paper, I will have to come up with a better reply than "My CCA had no value, and I hate sports. It gave me no chance to show any values other than endurance for swimming fifty trillion laps each couple of days."
It sucks that, being in Sec 4, it's too late to change my CCA.
Being an average counselor. Involves no sports. Forces the leadership out of you. Responsibility plays a big part in keeping students, including yourself, in order.
Being an average librarian. Shows responsibility for keeping books safe. Assists the members of staff. Self-discipline is fostered by remaining silent in library.
An average Computer Club member. Gains knowledge of how to use the tool that is associated to the business world, and slowly becoming the most important machine in our lives today. Provides a chance to help old staff persons who did not learn how to use a computer in their youth.
An average art club member. If the member has an interest in the arts, this will nurture their talents and interests and will prove beneficial if they wish to have a job involving the specific art form they are interested in.
An average water polo member. Gets to learn how to swim well. And catch a ball. And be fit.
Leadership is only given to those above average in the sport, and thus this value is not shared by the other members on their report card. Teamwork is the only other value I see in this one.
Now, please, if I sound too pushy with my opinion, go ahead and tell me what you think.
(I'll still hate Waterpolo as a CCA. All we do is swim, as I've said many times before. Jeez. We don't even learn much else other than how to move in water faster. Or stay there longer.)
I SHOULD'VE CHOSE NPCC

Friendster Law #1
It is an unwritten, wholly understood and implemented law of Friendster that:
If you see that somebody has viewed your profile, it instantly opens a door for you to view theirs. Immediately.
And it doesn't matter if you've seen the profile of this guy or girl. Just view the damn thing. Because you have an excuse: They saw yours first.

I was thinking about how much more time we would demand for ourselves when we were older. Like if we took all that time that we used for watching tv programmes we didn't like anyway, we'd have a few more weeks of free time. Likewise with naps, sitting around doing nothing, etc. Perhaps that's why our parents get all huffy seeing us lazing around doing useless things. Having a smaller amount of time to live, they see the importance of spending time well. Pity that thoughts such as this do not stick in my mind perpetually.

THINGS NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IN HIGH SCHOOL

From his book "Life in Hell".
And about books, I very recently read Watchmen again. And it rocked, again. The story had more meaning as I read the fictional documents within the book this time.
I'm leaving out a huge chunk of argumentative posting here just to avoid conflict with Van. The would-be section involves beauty pageants and feminist views.
This is the best fish I've ever tasted. At home, anyways.
SO FRESH.
AND TASTY.
Oh, and Devar, here's something for you. No, you won't like it.
If you're going to apologize for what happened with Chris in the canteen, mean it.
Why I point this out is because of a certain small occurence on the night of Van's competition.
When you were walking back to your seat, I told you that you "don't need to walk like that, Devar."
You did recognize it as a teasing statement, which it was, but what you did next reminded me instantly of what you did to Christopher earlier this year.
Instantly, INSTANTLY, you smacked me across my head. "Aaaass!"
And therein lies my problem.
If you didn't notice already, what you did is almost the exact same thing you did to Christopher.
I made a statement, and you acted physically.
(Only, if you look at it more thoroughly, what you did was in front of a lot more people. Also, what I said was only loud enough to reach your and WQ's ears. Also, Van's friends and family might've been around.)
Now, you might read this one day after it is posted on the blog, or you might read it a month after it is posted (on the account of myself not giving much reason for people to check it anymore). Either way, know this: I will still tell you what I think might be wrong with you at any time in the future, if you request it. I will still teach you what you think you need to know to not be what you call an 'ass', if you request it.
But, I will no longer be able to bring myself to trust that you take my advice to mind again. Evidently, you cannot recall it fast enough to handle your reflexive actions.
*slap*
"Aaaass!"
I do not expect an apology, nor do I expect anything else. This is just to inform you of the matter, and serves no further purpose than to do so.
Otherwise, it was an okay night. T'was a pity that SP didn't offer free 'refreshments' like they do during talks.
Ah, well. Time for some Tom Waits. All I've been listening to is Symphony recently.
*pops in the CD*
*I really need to write that letter. Shit.*

Tell Me Something Constructive You Did Today
(I really should write that letter. What's it been, three months? Damn.)
I was thinking about certain things people do that their future selves might regret. Things like watching humor videos, sitting in the bath for a little longer than expected, watching television they don't even like just because of boredom. Little things.

More Weird Memory-Mappy-Linkage!
Hey, I depend on the mappy-linkage for blog content. So hushahush.
I was sitting here doing my geography work due tomorrow when this wheeled chair reminded me of when I sat in this teachers' room in Radin Mas to stay back finishing incomplete file work with a bunch of other classmates. It ws my first time being allowed to sit in a then-fancy, 'Adult' chair. With WHEELS.
This made me recall when I was sitting on the table doing my work halfway, ____ came in. I didn't know SHE had to stay back too. 'Damn'!
The Damn above is in inverted commas for reasons that will be explained shortly.
Well, that made me recall that ____ was (unknowingly at the time) my first 'friend-crush-tease'. Meaning that she was the friend I had a crush on sometimes, and kept exchanging insults with as a result. So the Damn is a 'Damn' because you had to pretend that you didn't like the person. Ah, those Playful, childish times. Those are the kind of people that people marry, aren't they? The people you like but don't feel uncomfortable around?
Eh, what doos I knowz abt <3 neW4yz
Oh, no!
It's a Monday tomorrow!
Well Godda-
Well Gosh Darn it!

Showertot?
That's weird, I got this line of thoughts as I was walking from the shower to the clothes drawer:
Evolution. You could say that, as said in evolution, organisms are evolving to adapt to their surroundings. To be more and more suitable to where they live, over a course of millions of years.
Now this got me wondering:
In fifty billion ka-trillijillion years (assuming the sun would stay intact by then), would every lifeform on Earth have identical features? Would there be one lone species on Earth?
I wonder this because, if evolution progresses, it would slowly make everything more 'perfect', more suited to that which surrounds every living thingy.
And if evolution applies to every single being on the planet, slowly becoming more and more adapted to their surroundings, to what Nature would see as perfect, wouldn't all species ultimately form into one, nature-supposedly perfect species that has adapted to every possible environment findable on Earth? To be an entire planet covered by one species alone. To be mammal-amphibian-reptile-plant-fish-human-bird-hybrids.
Cool.
Mm. And that's all.

Well, That Sucks
Something sucky happened today.
Chun Feng came back, and Shuen Keat spoke considerably less to me today.
But my theory of gloominess has been proven wrong. I remained stuck in another depressed morning, despite the lack of incredibly over-repeated jokes and quotes. What is it that is eating into my happiness?
Could it be schoolwork?
No, I didn't mind the assignments today.
Could it be lack of sleep?
Maybe, but I still was gloomy on Monday morning after resting all Sunday.
Well, I do hope it gets better. I'd like me back.
Ah, I did think of one thing that kind of bummed me earlier today.
Well, Mrs Y lost the cap to her back marker, and somewhere during her lesson it was pointed out by D that she had accidentally made two black marks on Van's back. The back of her shirt.
Needless to say, Van went crazy. The fact that it was Mrs Y that did it made the situation worse, for Van hated Y. After asking for the price of a school shirt from us, she demanded the price from Y. Well, there isn't much in that that bummed me, it was majorly from what happened shortly after.
V and D plotted V's revenge against Y. It kind of sickened me to hear the snickering and laughing in the process of the planning. It reminded me of the evils of teenagerism. The way they sounded so determined in her revenge, how they laughed in anticipation for it to happen, and how satisfied she looked after it did happen.
Seeing Van satisfied does not sicken me, but seeing anybody satisfied from such a cause does.
She'll hate me, probably, for writing this, but I'll leave it to her to explain how what she did was indeed fair. I'm sure she has a reason. I hope it's just.
: (
It was during that period that I had my first sign of sympathy for Y. Something did it.
I'm killing myself with this post.
Just got off the phone with Freddie.
His excuse for not coming tomorrow definitely is something I accept, but I don't know about the rest.
Well, if they're going to boot him, I want him to be some form of outside help. Damnit.
Almost forgot:
I played around a bit with the school piano today. Played it by ear. It kind of sucked as the notes were all blocky and the music had not flow, but it was a shot at playing again.
Sigh is the word of March.

I Need To Think Up Better Post Titles
I've been theorizing about why my school periods are starting with great, great frustration now, and my theory is that it is because Chun Feng is not coming to school lately. he is sick.
It is not that I miss his company or his habit of sleeping in class, no, nothing like that. But it is because that when he is absent, he leaves a blank space. A blank space in that chair of his.
And this is dangerous.
For the SK has lurked behind that row of seats, waiting for a chance to sit closer to me.
He has taken his chance, and he sits behind me. And damn is it frustrating.
Do you like being pestered, bombarded rather, with jokes and quotes from movies that were released years ago?
Do you like being told the same damn joke over and over?
Do you like this happening to you each morning, marking the start of your very school lessons?
EACH. BLOODY. MORNING?
And that is why I am bitter in mornings. Why I have been that way recently, I mean.
I hate him now.
Because he is changing my style of typing here (very subtle in the change, but I see it: I haven't typing with the rush to do so, recently.)
Because he is making me dull in my morning periods, blocking my will to learn and sucking the soul from my body with each LAME STATEMENT.
Because he approaches me even before class, even when he has nothing to say.
And this is the part where Van comes in to suggest some method of help.
... please?
Anyways, the remainder of this post will consist of little notes and reminders for me to remember what to post about the next time I post.
Brow utility (in class).
Zebra crossings.
How staying late in school happifies me so.
Feeling like shitnuggets:

I guess this kind of explains itself. Got the link from this guy's blog.
Should I trust the results? Should you?
Should I wait until after I finish my misanthropic/melancholic/stress-filled little period of no-sleepness to take the test once more?
